Pousada de Guimarães - Nossa Senhora da Oliveira

Pousada de Nossa Sra. da Oliveira is located in the heart of the charming medieval town of Guimarães. The town is considered the "cradle of the Nation", as it was here that the country's first king, Afonso Henriques, was born and established the first Portuguese court in the 12th C. The pousada was created by combining a number of 16th C. stone town houses, which overlook the town's main square.
